Grace and Forgiveness
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” – Luke 19:10, NIV
☕ Imagine this: a dad goes out every morning with his coffee. Same porch. Same prayer.
👉 “God, please bring my son home.”
Season after season, he waits. Rain, shine, even snow—he never stops looking.
Then one day… he spots someone on the horizon. 👀
Heart racing. Coffee cup drops. He takes off running—robe flying—straight to his son.
And when he reaches him? Oh, the embrace. The tears. The overwhelming joy of a father who never stopped waiting, never stopped loving.
That’s exactly the picture Jesus paints for us in Luke 15:20: “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”
Friend, if you’ve drifted from God—whether it’s been a little while or a really long time—it’s time to come back to God. Just like the son in Jesus’ story, repent of your sins and humbly ask the Father’s forgiveness. If you do this and trust Him, He will welcome you back. No rejection. The Father’s arms are wide open, ready to welcome you home.
🙏Dear God, thank You for the grace You extend to me. I don’t deserve it, but I’m oh so grateful. Wrap me in Your arms of mercy today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
